Essential Information

Visa Requirements

All foreign tourists need a visa to enter Nepal and can get it at a Nepalese embassy abroad or upon arrival in Nepal. Most people obtain their visa upon arrival at Kathmandu airport.

You will need a passport photo and the following fees depending:

  • 15 days USD $ 25 or an equivalent convertible currency
  • 30 days USD $ 40 or an equivalent convertible currency
  • 90 days USD 100 or equivalent convertible currency

Cultural Consideration

For those of you visiting Nepal, we recommend cultural information to help you adjust and feel good:

The dress code is essential for both men and women. Men and women should wear pants instead of shorts during a tour in Nepal. It is okay for men in vests, but Women should try to be as modest as possible in these situations.

Hindus are concerned about ritual contamination of food when someone outside their caste or religion touches it. Therefore, do not feel any cooked food on display. When playing from a container used by others, do not touch your lips. Do not eat with the left hand, and be sure to eat or receive only your right hand. The shoes are considered degrading. So keep them on the floor and take them out before you put your feet on something. When entering a Nepal house, follow the example of your host to decide if you need to take off your shoes. However, when you enter a temple or monastery, you must remove them.

You will pass Buddhist walls, Chorten, and Buddhist stupas along the way, and follow local traditions and place them on your right.

Travel insurance

Travel insurance for each itinerary of our company is a prerequisite for booking vacations. At a minimum, you must have emergency health and repatriation insurance that must include the cost of mountain rescue, theft, loss, damage, and clinical problems, and it is a brilliant idea for traveling in Nepal. There are a variety of policies. Please read your insurers' general terms and conditions carefully, especially in an important part that writes correctly in small print. Some guidelines exclude "dangerous activities," including motorcycling and trekking, bungee jumping, and rafting.

Select a policy covering clinical return and emergency return, including trekking helicopter evacuation and general medical evacuation. You may prefer a policy that pays directly at hospitals instead of paying locally and claims later. In Nepal, most clinical treatments must pay at delivery. If your insurance company doesn't make an advance payment, make sure you receive the receipts to claim them later.

You must understand you will bear the cost of the evacuation and return procedures. It is your responsibility to pay for the evacuation or medical treatment. You must be fully aware of your travel insurance effects and understand the limitations and exclusions of your policy. Please note that in certain circumstances, our company guide may initiate helicopter rescue operations (or other necessary operations) in medical emergencies without first seeking approval from your insurance company.

Must Visiting Place: Lumbini Tour Review

We were 4 Vietnamese people who booked the Kathmandu City Tour and the Lumbini Tour with Nepal Tour & Trekking Service P. Ltd. Mr. Kishor, the manager of this company, arranged a very nice car and a professional tour guide. During the tour, we enjoyed and collect amazing experiences of history, culture, and tradition related to Buddhism, Hindu, and many more. Bhaktapur is a traditional Nepalese city. Swayambhunath is a true Buddhist monastery from which we had a full view of the Kathmandu valley and some mountains. Another day we flew to Bhairawa and our guide picked up and drove to Lumbini. We worship in the Vietnamese temple and visit some ritual places of Lord Buddha. It is a Buddha Birthplace. We enjoyed the tour with them. We can only recommend this agency and Kishor if someone is interested traveling Nepal.

Thank you.
